La Leche League of Texas offers support Group meetings in locations across the state. In some areas there are no regular support Group meetings, but local accredited La Leche League Leaders are available to provide breastfeeding information and support over the phone and via email. Parents interested in breastfeeding/chestfeeding are welcome to attend meetings or contact Leaders for breastfeeding information and support.

Support Group Meetings

La Leche League series meetings provide accurate, up-to-date information about breastfeeding/chestfeeding as well as encouragement and support. Learning from others who have nursed their babies can be helpful and reassuring. Many meetings operate on a rotating series of discussion topics that cover all aspects of breastfeeding/chestfeeding, and parents (and parents-to-be!) are encouraged to share their questions and concerns as well as the benefits and joys of breastfeeding/chestfeeding.

Le Leche Group Leaders

Many La Leche League Groups also maintain lending libraries of books on pregnancy and childbirth, breastfeeding, nutrition, and general parenting topics. Because La Leche League recognizes the importance of family togetherness, children are welcome at all La Leche League meetings. There are La Leche League meetings in all five Areas of Texas(East, Central, North, South and West) in order to provide the community with conveniently located groups to support you. Accredited by La Leche League International, volunteer Leaders are experienced nursing parents who are familiar with current research in all aspects of breastfeeding/chestfeeding. La Leche League Leaders provide encouragement and support, as well as accurate up-to-date information to address breastfeeding/chestfeeding questions. La Leche League Leaders facilitate our support Group meetings, and also provide breastfeeding information and support over the phone and via email.
