Our Mission
La Leche League of Texas helps parents, families, and communities to breastfeed, chestfeed, and human milk feed their babies through parent-to-parent support. LLL of Texas encourages, informs, educates, supports, and promotes the use of human milk and the intimate relationship and development that comes from nursing a child for as long as mutually desired.
What We Do
Breastfeeding is natural, but it does not always come naturally. La Leche League of Texas offers breastfeeding support to all who want to breastfeed. Whether you are working or home with your baby, La Leche League can help you reach your breastfeeding goals.
LLL of Texas helps families by:
- Providing free meetings led by volunteer Leaders who are experienced with breastfeeding and are accredited by La Leche League International.
- Offering support between meetings for breastfeeding challenges, such as positioning and latch, being sure your baby is getting enough milk, soreness, pumping and milk storage, and so much more!
- Helping parents learn about the ages and stages of breastfeeding.
- Creating a community of support by bringing breastfeeding families together.
Our Commitment
LLL of Texas follows the LLL USA Diversity and Inclusion Statement

LLL USA supports all breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and human milk feeding families, inclusive of their race, ethnicity, immigration status, national origin, creed, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, family structure, primary language, ability, or socio-economic status. LLL USA fosters diversity among its Leaders so as to incorporate a wide variety of perspectives and responsible decision-making.
